May 2026 Launch Targets
One-line description. Concrete May 1-31 targets that replace the obsolete Phase 1 plan after the 36-hour compression.
Why
Phase 1 was supposed to take 6 weeks. It took 36 hours. The original Phase 1 success criteria don't apply anymore. Without explicit replacement targets, attention drifts back into infra polish.
May 1-31 is the launch month. Cadence, orbit, and personal-lane work are the targets. Anti-targets (platform hygiene, new scaffolding) get deferred to June.
Current state
Investigated 2026-06-30 (window closed 5/31 with no close-out ever written — this section was frozen at "day 2" for 59 days). Verdict: mostly did not happen, not just unclosed paperwork. Live evidence: content_engine.calendar shows only 1 piece actually shipped in May (a single Kit send, 5/13) against the 12-piece cadence target; Ghost has zero posts published in May (1 published post total, site-wide, predates the window); the DFW-orbit-2026 FUB tag has 0 matches in the main Orchard FUB mirror (caveat: the orbit-building work may live in a different FUB instance — not fully conclusive). No Linear issue tracks this work. The cadence-miss escalation defined in the source plan never fired, and the plan's own "End of May kill/keep/change review" never happened. Reads like the initiative stalled almost immediately after 5/2, not that it quietly succeeded off-the-books.
- Status: in-flight (frontmatter unchanged — stalled in practice; archive/revive is an owner call, not made here)
- Last update: 2026-05-02; re-investigated 2026-06-30
- Blocked on: nothing on record — just never picked back up
Next 3 actions
- Ship the first Wednesday newsletter (week of 5/4) on cadence.
- Tag the first 25 DFW orbit names (
DFW-orbit-2026) by 5/7. - Land first Capri-branded contract (rank 1 of
2026-05-may-priorities.md).

Open issues (re-checked 2026-06-30, window already closed 5/31)
- Cadence: 12 pieces target — 1 shipped (
content_engine.calendar, 5/13 Kit send); Ghost 0 posts in May. Missed. - Orbit: 50 DFW agents tagged
DFW-orbit-2026— 0 matches in main Orchard FUB mirror as of 6/30 (caveat: didn't chase whether this lives in a different FUB instance). Likely missed. - Personal-lane: ≥1 piece/week — not independently re-verified this pass.
- Capacity baseline: rolling avg actual_hours by 5/14 — not independently re-verified this pass.
- Outbound: ≥10 intentional actions/week — not independently re-verified this pass.

2026-07-16 — PHASE CLOSED (RYR-172 E1)
Closed with the record, per the Flywheel Overhaul spec's E1 ("kill/close with records"). The window ended 5/31; the 6/30 re-check above stands as the final tally: cadence missed (1 of 12 shipped), orbit likely missed (0 tagged in the main mirror), three targets never independently re-verified. The lesson this project bought — targets without a launch gate produce "launched" checklists nobody re-checks — is now codified as Sales Motion v2's B4 launch gate (RYR-172 §B4: not launched until a real recipient traverses the full sequence, FUB shows it, comms rows reconcile, and Ry confirms the E2E evidence; the last checkbox is the scheduler unpause itself). No revival planned; anything worth carrying forward lives in the Flywheel Overhaul (RYR-172).
